What the Leather Is Actually Made From

Not all leather rides the same. Our motorcycle jackets use many hides like “buffalo, sheep, deerskin, faux, etc,” each with a different purpose. Genuine cowhide runs 1.2 to 1.5mm thick, which makes it the most abrasion-resistant option in the catalog and the right call for riders who prioritize protection over weight. Lambskin runs 0.8 to 0.9mm, lighter and more flexible, better for riders who want comfort on shorter rides without a stiff break-in period. New Zealand leather measures 1.0 to 1.1mm, striking a balance between softness and durability for riders who want both.

CE armor pockets at the shoulders, back, and elbows come standard on most jackets in the collection. Back armor pockets are included on most styles. Hardware is YKK throughout because zippers that fail in cold weather aren't a minor inconvenience on a long ride. They're a problem.
