Four Corners Motorcycle Rally 2026: What to Know Before You Ride to Durango

Four Corners Motorcycle Rally 2026: What to Know Before You Ride to Durango

The 33rd Anniversary Four Corners Motorcycle Rally runs September 3 through 6, 2026, at the La Plata County Fairgrounds and Event Center in Durango, Colorado. This four-day Four Corners motorcycle event brings together rodeo action, flat-track racing, dirt drags, a $25,000 poker run, and a mountain-adventure ride. If you're riding to Durango this year, this guide covers the dates, daily schedule, tickets, and gear you'll want for the weekend.

When Is the Four Corners Motorcycle Rally 2026

The Four Corners Motorcycle Rally 2026 dates are September 3 to September 6. The event is held at the La Plata County Fairgrounds and Event Center. This Durango motorcycle rally brings riders to Durango, Colorado, near the meeting point of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. That location is where the rally gets its name, and it's a big part of why riders from four states converge here every fall.

This is the 33rd year for the rally, and the Fairgrounds serve as the hub for nearly everything: vendors, live music, bike shows, workshops, tattoo artists, food and drinks, and the daily arena events that headline each night.

Four Corners Motorcycle Rally Schedule, Day by Day

Four Corners Motorcycle Rally Schedule, Day by Day

Each day of the Four Corners motorcycle rally schedule features its own headline event in the arena, with vendors, live music, and daytime activities at the Fairgrounds. Gates typically open in the afternoon on Thursday and in the mid-morning for the rest of the weekend. Alongside the headline events below, expect a rotating lineup of smaller daily contests at the Pavilion, things like the Rodeo Ruckus weenie-bite and beer-stein challenges and a Saturday tattoo contest, so it's worth wandering the schedule board between the main events.

Thursday, September 3: Dirt Drags

The rally kicks off with Four Corners Dirt Drags, presented by Coors, a brand-new addition for 2026, running 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the arena. This is old-school, run-what-ya-brung motorcycle drag racing, but in the dirt. It's the first time this event has been on the schedule, so expect a rougher, more improvised energy than the polished races later in the weekend.

The same day, Durango Harley-Davidson hosts the field for the $25,000 Poker Run and the Rider Justice Lounge (more on both below).

Friday, September 4: Four Corners Rodeo

Friday brings the Four Corners Rodeo, presented by the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Gates open at 5:00 PM, and the rough stock rodeo kicks off at 6:30 PM. Riders can sign up to get on a bull themselves, sign up for motorcycle barrel racing if bull riding isn't for you, or grab grandstand tickets and watch from a safe distance. Kids 2 and under get in free. The Four Corners Chopper Show also runs Friday afternoon, with registration from 3 to 4 PM and awards at 6 PM. Best in Show also earns an invite to show at Mama Tried 2027.

Friday morning starts early at Durango Harley-Davidson with the Durango Veterans Run, a dedicated ride honoring veterans. Registration runs from 8:30 to 9:30 AM, with kickstands up at 10:00 AM.

Saturday, September 5: Flat Track Races

Saturday is the Four Corners Flat Track Races, presented by Rider Justice, one of the rally's best-known events for selling out year after year. Gates open at 5:00 PM, racing starts at 6:30 PM, and classes include Hooligan, Run What Ya Brung, Women's, Adult Mini Bike, Kickstart, and more. Kids 2 and under are free.

Saturday afternoon also brings the V-Twin Visionary Bike Show, with registration from 3 to 4 PM and awards at 6 PM, plus the LFG 1904 Slow Races running 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the Fairgrounds; a lower-key counterpoint to that night's flat-track action.

Sunday, September 6: Mini Bike Mayhem and the Adventure Ride

Sunday closes the weekend with Four Corners Mini Bike Mayhem, presented by Rocky Mountain High. This one isn't a race. It's a mini bike showdown built around games, unpredictable challenges, and the kind of chaos that makes for a good story afterward. The same day features the Vicla Bike Show and the guided Adventure Ride into the San Juan Mountains, both of which are covered in more detail below.

Sunday also features the M.M.I.R. Ride at Sky Ute Casino Resort, with registration at 9:00 AM and kickstands up at 10:00 AM, a ride honoring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives, run alongside the rally's other Sunday events. If you're planning your Sunday around the Adventure Ride or Vicla Show, note the earlier start time so you don't miss it.

The rally's third ticketed arena event, the Sons of Speed Races, is also on the bill as part of the Apex Pass (see below), but organizers hadn't released its day and start time as of this writing. Riders holding an Apex Pass should check the official rally site closer to September for that detail before locking in a schedule.

Also on Friday, September 4, riders can catch the LFG 1904 Zig Zag Race, a shorter novelty race squeezed into the early afternoon schedule at the Fairgrounds.

Apex Pass vs. General Admission

Two ticket types cover the Four Corners Motorcycle Rally, and the difference comes down to what you want to see.

Apex Pass:

  • Includes 4-day General Admission to the La Plata County Fairgrounds and Event Center

  • Includes General Admission entry to all three arena events: the rodeo, the flat track races, and the Sons of Speed races

  • Priced lower if purchased by May 31

General Admission (Fairgrounds only):

  • Required for entry to the Fairgrounds Thursday through Sunday

  • Covers the Wall of Death shows, Drifter Cross, vendors, live music, bike shows, workshops, tattoo artists, and food and drinks

  • Available as a 1-day or 4-day ticket

  • Does not include entry to arena events

  • Kids 12 and under get free admission to the Fairgrounds

If you're planning to catch the rodeo, flat track, and Sons of Speed races, the Apex Pass covers all three under one ticket, and buying before May 31 keeps the cost down. Sons of Speed's day and start time weren't confirmed at publication; check the official rally site for the update before you build your weekend around it. If arena events aren't the draw for you, a standalone General Admission ticket still gets you into everything else happening at the Fairgrounds.

Rides, Runs, and Contests

Rides, Runs, and Contests

Beyond the arena, the rally weekend is built around rides riders can actually take part in.

$25,000 Poker Run

Powered by Rider Justice, runs throughout the weekend. It's self-administered, meaning you ride to five local venues on your own schedule, in one day or spread across the weekend. You have to finish at Durango Harley-Davidson, but you can check in at the other four stops in any order. Prizes total more than $1,000, plus a $25,000 grand prize for drawing the winning mystery hand.

Adventure Ride

Presented by Rev'It Durango, is a guided dual-sport ride through the San Juan Mountains on Sunday, September 6. Riders meet at Purgatory Resort at 9:00 AM, kickstands go up at 10:00 AM, and the ride wraps around 1:00 PM back at the Fairgrounds, where lunch is provided. The route is led by retired San Juan County Sheriff Bruce Conrad, who knows the backcountry well. Groups are split by skill level.

To join the Adventure Ride, you need a street-legal, plated motorcycle capable of off-road riding, along with a valid Colorado OHV permit if your bike doesn't already have one. Non-resident permits are available through the Colorado state website.

Durango Veterans Run

A Friday-morning ride out of Durango Harley-Davidson honoring veterans, with registration from 8:30 to 9:30 AM and kickstands up at 10:00 AM, a good early-morning option before the Fairgrounds' afternoon lineup gets going.

A Sunday ride starting at Sky Ute Casino Resort, honoring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives. Registration opens at 9:00 AM with kickstands up at 10:00 AM, running in parallel with the rally's other Sunday programming.

Attractions Beyond the Arena

The Fairgrounds host a full slate of shows and contests that run alongside the ticketed arena events.

Ives Brothers Wall of Death and Ball of Steel

The Ives Brothers Wall of Death and Ball of Steel run Thursday through Sunday. Cody and Kyle Ives have been riding in board-track style since childhood, carrying on a racing style that's nearly disappeared elsewhere.

Iron Goddess Motorcycle Show

The Iron Goddess Motorcycle Show is a women's-only bike show on Sunday, open to all makes and models, with registration at the booth.

V-Twin Visionary Bike Show

The V-Twin Visionary Bike Show runs Saturday, with registration from 3 to 4 PM and awards at 6 PM.

Four Corners Vicla Show

The Four Corners Vicla Show, presented by Motorcycle Expos and Feroz Familia, also runs Sunday, with classes for Best Softail, Best Bagger, Best Specialty, Best Paint, Best of Show, and People's Choice. Registration is free with a rally pass, winners compete for custom awards handcrafted by White Knuckler, and the first 30 registrants get a swag bag and an entry into a 10-day motorcycle trip to Nepal.

Vendors, Live Music, and Daily Activities

Vendors fill the Fairgrounds all weekend, from flannel brands to custom leatherwork, alongside daily live music, bike shows, workshops, and the smaller daily contests, the Rodeo Ruckus weenie-bite and beer-stein events and the Saturday tattoo contest, among them.

Daily Activities at the Fairgrounds and Beyond

The arena events are the headline, but the Fairgrounds run a full daily lineup around them, and the action doesn't stop when the gates close.

Fairgrounds Hours

Shift slightly through the weekend. Thursday, gates open at 2:00 PM, with vendors, the merch booth, bars, and the Biltwell Helmet Art Show running from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Friday and Saturday, gates open at 10:00 AM, and vendors, bars, and the merch booth stay open until 10:00 PM. Harley-Davidson Demo Rides run 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on those two days. Sunday hours run a bit shorter, closing around 8:00 PM as the rally wraps up.

Durango Harley-Davidson

Runs its own schedule alongside the Fairgrounds, with the dealership, vendors, and merch booth open 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Friday through Sunday. This is also where the Rider Justice Lounge sets up, and where the Poker Run both starts and must finish. It's the same starting point for the Durango Veterans Run on Friday morning.

Live music runs daily on the Progressive Stage, alongside the recurring Ives Brothers Ball of Steel and Wall of Death shows, the Speed-Kings Cycle Podcast recording live, and David Uhl live painting sessions at the Harley-Davidson lot. All arena and stage times are subject to change, so it's worth checking the schedule again as the weekend approaches.

After Dark

The Sky Ute Casino Resort hosts the Four Corners Tattoo Convention across the weekend, and after-parties run late at the Wild Horse Saloon and Orio's Roadhouse following Friday and Saturday's races.

What to Pack for a Four-Day Rally in Durango

What to Pack for a Four-Day Rally in Durango

Early September in Durango means warm afternoons and cold mornings, especially if the Adventure Ride takes you up into the San Juan Mountains. Layering matters more than any single piece of gear, and standing in the Fairgrounds dirt for four straight days will test your footwear fast.

Motorcycle Jackets

Jackets earn their keep on the ride in and during those cool mornings before the sun clears the mountains. A leather motorcycle jacket holds up to wind on the highway approach and still looks right parked outside the arena at night.

Motorcycle Vests

Vests work for the warmer stretch of the afternoon, once the temperature climbs and a full jacket gets heavy. A leather vest also gives you somewhere to pin patches from the weekend, which is half the point of a rally like this one.

Motorcycle Gloves

Gloves matter more on the Adventure Ride than anywhere else on the schedule. Dirt and gravel sections change how the bars feel under your hands, and a pair built for grip and control makes a difference over three hours on unfamiliar terrain.

Motorcycle Helmets

Helmets are non-negotiable for the Adventure Ride and worth having on hand even if you're mostly walking the Fairgrounds. A DOT-certified helmet that fits right won't be something you're fighting with by hour two.

Motorcycle Boots

Boots take more abuse over four days at a fairgrounds than most riders plan for. Between the arena dirt, the vendor rows, and the ride itself, a pair of motorcycle boots built for standing and riding beats anything pulled from the closet for the occasion.

Motorcycle Bells

Some riders also hang a Guardian Bell on their bike before a long ride like this one. It's a small tradition, but it's part of the rally culture that shows up at every stop on the Poker Run.

Why Riders Keep Coming Back

Thirty-three years in, the Four Corners Motorcycle Rally in Durango has built a reputation for events that sell out and traditions riders plan their year around. Gear brands have followed the same long road. Renegade Classics has outfitted riders since 1991, close to as long as this rally has been running, and that overlap isn't an accident. Rallies like Four Corners are where riding gear gets tested against real dirt, real distance, and real weather, not a showroom floor.

Full event details, ticket links, and updates are available at the official Four Corners Motorcycle Rally site. For gear to get you there and back, Renegade Classics has outfitted riders since 1991.
