Things to Avoid

• Avoid leaving armor pads in during washing.

1. Does the Gridline Metro Flannel have built-in armor?
No. It has a mesh lining with reinforced shoulder support, which helps the shirt keep its shape and hold up under the weight of a loaded pocket, but it has no armor pads or armor pockets. If you want impact protection, wear it under an armored jacket or vest.

2. Can I remove the hood from the Gridline Metro Flannel?

Yes. The hood is detachable, so you can take it off before you ride and wear the shirt as a regular flannel under your helmet.

3. Where can I carry my phone and other gear?

The Gridline Metro has eight pockets. Outside, there are two snap chest pockets and two zippered slash pockets that keep keys and a wallet from falling out on the road. Inside, there's a cell phone pocket, a multimedia pocket, and two concealed carry pockets, one on each side. Check your state's carry laws before you carry.

4. Will the zippers and snaps hold up to regular riding?
Yes. The shirt uses genuine YKK zippers. The snaps are heavy-duty, so they stay shut in the wind and don't loosen after months of opening and closing. The front zipper sits under the snap placket, and you can close both for a tight seal at speed.
